Do you count your calories? If your answer is yes, then why?

What is your goal? Is it to increase muscle mass, decrease bad cholesterol levels, lose weight, lose body fat, increase energy levels, or all of the above?

What if I told you that most individuals will fail at counting calories!

You’re thinking, “Dave how is that possible, It’s as simple as calories in, calories out, right?”

NO!!!! This is what mainstream media along with huge corporate food companies want you to believe. Oh and don’t get me started on the so called healthy food guilde pyramid.

I am telling you this for your own good. It’s time to let the truth out.

Let’s start with this. Do you know how many calories of 1 gram of fat, protein, and carbohydrates yield alone?

MACRO-NUTRIENT

Protein 1g = 4 calories
fat 1g = 9 calories
carbohydrate 1g = 4 calories
